Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of Practice in achieving business-unit strategy and delivering operational, financial, client, and people targets.
  • Supervise and manage a team of lawyers, ensuring compliance with Slater and Gordon's Supervision Model and driving employee engagement.
  • Develop and implement business development plans to grow the practice group, including identifying opportunities for sustainable business growth and managing a complex file-load.
  • Provide high-quality legal advice and ensure consistent delivery of quality client outcomes and care.
  • Ensure understanding across the practice group and work with the Head of Practice to understand and comply with working methods, firm governance, and national practice standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven post-admission experience as a Personal Injury Lawyer, preferably in Medical Law.
  • Sound legal technical experience and ability to demonstrate a high level of expert and specialist knowledge within the defined practice area.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all levels of staff and prior experience leading and motivating legal professionals.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to show initiative.
  • Sound technical and functional skills to support others and a team player.
