Key Responsibilities- Daily Living Support: Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and skill development to promote independence.
- Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual at all times.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other support staff, healthcare professionals, and family members to provide consistent and effective care.
- Behaviour Management: Implement strategies to manage extreme behaviors, including verbal and physical aggression.
- Restrictive Practices: Utilize restrictive practices in accordance with approved positive behavior support plans.
- Experience working with challenging behaviors.
- Knowledge and experience with complex mental health needs.
- Understanding of ethical restrictive practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stay calm under stress.
- Relevant qualifications in Disability Support or Community Services.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Paid Yellow Card and Blue Card, Drivers License – Road Worthy Registered Vehicle (CAR).
