Job Title:

Fitter-Welder

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Fitter-Welder to join our team in Nannup, Western Australia. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for fitting and welding metal parts into products, setting up machining tools, and operating machinery to shape metal and castings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fitting and assembling fabricated metal parts into products
  • Setting up machining tools and production machines
  • Operating machining tools and machines to shape metal and castings
  • Welding using TIG, MIG, and MMA processes on various materials
  • General fitting duties including bench assembly, material selection, cutting to size, machine operation, pipe bending, pipe fitting, grinding, brazing, and soldering
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • AQF Certificate III or equivalent, with at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
  • At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications
  • Ability to work unsupervised and read/interpret engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and ability to produce inspection reports
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Benefits:

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $75,000 - $85,000 per year. You will also have access to opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.

Location:

The successful candidate will be required to live in and have the right to work in Australia. Ideally, you should be located within 70km of Nannup or be willing to relocate.
