As an experienced structural engineer, you have a demonstrated ability in the following areas:

  • Comprehensive understanding of structural design principles and their application to engineering design and construction.
  • Thorough understanding of Australian Building Codes and Standards, and their application.
  • Experience in developing value management and value engineering concepts.
  • Experience in producing technical reports and developing concepts that add value to a project.
  • High-level competence using engineering design software, such as ETABS, SAFE and Bentley Structural Enterprise software.
  • Experience in several of the following areas of design: masonry, composite construction, post tensioned concrete, precast concrete, pre-tension, pre-stressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber and cross laminated timber panel construction, shoring and substructures.
  • Awareness of current industry practices, proprietary products, materials and construction techniques, and application within projects.
  • Develops complex engineering analysis models and prepares calculations with high precision and accuracy.
  • Developed ability in identifying potential engineering outcome issues and providing effective solutions.
