About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Security Consultant to lead our Application Security program for government contracts, ensuring compliance and fostering trust. This is an exciting opportunity to shape CyberCX's overall Application Security strategy and drive secure solutions for Australian government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application Security Leadership: Oversee the successful execution of application security services for state and federal government contracts, maintaining high standards of compliance and trust.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with government agencies, identifying new opportunities and collaborating on secure solutions.
  • Strategy Development: Contribute to defining and executing the Application Security strategy, upskilling practices internally at CyberCX, and identifying new ways to deliver Application Security Services.
  • Servicing Clients: Deliver top-notch Application Security services, including those with large or complex testing requirements, to a high standard.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a technical leader within STA and externally across practice for Application Security services, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years in application security services, penetration testing, and/or software development, including threat modelling, automated security testing, DevSecOps, and secure code reviews.
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in information systems, cyber security, software development, or a similar field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Certifications: Proficiency in cloud security, automated application deployment processes, and containerisation (IaC).
  • Skills: Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, ability to build credibility with senior leaders and internal working teams.
