Job Title: Vocational Pathways Learning Area Convenor and Teacher

The Vocational Pathways Learning Area Convenor

  • Will lead and coordinate vocational and applied learning programs.
  • Will be responsible for the Year 10 Employment Pathways program, the Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC), and the VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM).
  • Will ensure the delivery of high-quality, flexible, and individualized learning experiences that prepare students for success in further education, training, and the workforce.
Key Responsibilities:

Core Areas of Focus: Literacy, Numeracy, Work Related Skills, and Personal Development Skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive innovative cross-curricular projects.
  2. Align curriculum with student aspirations.
  3. Focus on core areas of literacy, numeracy, work-related skills, and personal development skills.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Be a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Have a commitment to Catholic Education and the Catholic Identity.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver quality and effective teaching and learning programs consistent with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Support students through interaction with them in various settings and through the active development of supportive learning environments and effective behaviour management practices.
