The Location - Our residential aged care home is located in Buderim.

The Role

As a frontline carer, you will play a pivotal role in nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a fulfilling life through the delivery of person-centered care and support. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation, delivery, presentation, and serving of resident meals, as well as providing care and support aligned with residents' preferred daily routines.

  • Assist with meal choices and individual nutrition plans.
  • Consider allergies and food intolerances when preparing meals.
  • Enhance the overall dining experience for residents.
  • Support residents with meal selection and timing preferences.
  • Prepare and set up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences.
  • Engage with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes.
  • Use empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience.
  • Promote resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect.
  • Maintain accurate nutrition and diet information as required.
  • Assist with quality food preparation in accordance with our food safety plan and standards.
  • Assist with maintaining kitchen stock supplies as required.
Requirements
  • Customer service skills are essential for this role.
  • A compassionate and caring attitude is necessary for providing high-quality care.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen environment is highly regarded.
  • Ability to take direction from others and work as part of a team.
  • Reliability and flexibility are essential for this role.
  • Good time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Valid working rights in Australia.
  • Completion of a police check.
  • Seasonal flu vaccinations (or willingness to obtain).
  • Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination.
