Job Overview:

The Data Analytics Engineer will play a pivotal role in harnessing data insights to drive strategic decision-making, optimize business operations, and enrich the pet care experience with personalized offerings for pets and their owners.

The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, a solid grasp of big data engineering in Python, and a mindset that values accuracy, performance visibility, and clean, scalable design.

  • Create interactive visualizations and reports
  • Design feeds to collect data from external systems
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Develop transforms to process data into more informative data models
  • Ensure data assets are automatically monitored for performance, reliability, and availability
  • Produce one-off or recurring data sets for statistical analysis
  • Maintain tasks to handle changing environments (e.g. address upstream schema changes by modifying transforms)
  • Document processes and data structures so they are maintainable and usable by others
  • Implement basic security and privacy management
  • Collaborate with the team to support business users utilizing our data and platform
