Renderer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Renderer to join our team in Canberra. The successful candidate will have experience in solid plastering, with strong hand skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Level and smooth render layers to ensure a consistent thickness and a uniform finish.
  • Create decorative textures in finishing coats, including sponging, stippling, and trowelled effects.
  • Repair damaged plasterwork and restore weathered or cracked external walls.
  • Straighten and plumb wall and surface corners to precise specifications.
  • Cut and fit mesh or laths to strengthen render when required.
  • Maintain tools and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures on-site.

Requirements:

  • AQF Certificate III in Solid Plastering or equivalent qualification.
  • At least two years of on-the-job training or three years of relevant experience may substitute formal qualification.
  • ANZSCO Skill Level 3.
  • Proven experience as a Renderer or Solid Plasterer, ideally with external façade work.
