Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and lead a talented team, including training new members, recruiting and selecting leads, and assigning teams to projects effectively.
  • Develop and articulate a clear vision and goals for your team while aligning with our company's overall vision and objectives.
  • Create standardized workflows, collaborate with other department leaders to design efficient workflows between teams, and serve as the visionary for your department.
  • Plan and maintain department operations, including recruiting and casting leads, shot team planning, and reporting crew assessments to department management.
  • Work closely with show production to plan shots, ensure project methodologies meet quality and schedule expectations, and assist artists, departments, and supervisors resolve issues that arise during production.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A strong technical foundation, up-to-date knowledge of VFX tools and emerging technologies, and expertise in Maya and cameras, layout, animation blocking, scene assembly, and composition.
  • 6+ years of proven leadership and management experience in a leading VFX company or associated industry.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a strong work ethic.
