About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Support Specialist, Education Outreach to join our Learning for Life Contact Centre.

Reporting to the Team Leader, Learning for Life Customer Support, you will provide exceptional customer service to The Smith Family customers by responding to enquiries via phone, chat/messaging, email, and tickets. You will support volunteers and other staff within the broader team, providing accurate reporting and data entry on all customer service-related work.

You will gather and record feedback from callers to help reshape the family experience and identify opportunities for proactive customer support and digital support to families.

Key Responsibilities

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Customer service experience, preferably in a contact centre setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including a professional, friendly, and approachable manner.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to support families and participants from diverse backgrounds with respect and dignity.
  • A strong ability to work as part of a team, taking responsibility and accountability while working independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, including database management and other programs.
  • Resilience, flexibility, and adaptability to change.
