About the Role

We are seeking a talented and reliable individual to join our team as a Trainee Natural Areas Specialist. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to complete a nationally recognized qualification (Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management) while gaining practical knowledge and skills in general bushland maintenance tasks through on-the-job experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance of natural areas, including bushland and conservation reserves.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of conservation and land management plans.
  • Contribute to the collection and analysis of data related to natural area management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Completed Year 12 or equivalent, or currently studying towards a Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management.
  • Current unrestricted C-B (Manual) class national driver's licence.
  • Physically fit and capable of undertaking manual tasks in all weather conditions.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and keen to learn.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Be a confident communicator.
  • Ability to follow instructions and take direction.
  • A strong team player.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools.
  • Reliable and hardworking.
  • Computer skills with the ability to operate MS Office software packages, tablets, and mobile devices.

  • A competitive salary range of $36,082 to $62,324 gross per annum, dependent on age.
