Job Overview
bioMérieux Australia is a leading in-vitro diagnostics company and a manufacturer of diagnostic reagents, instrumentation and prepared microbiological media with a strong customer focus.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated sales professional to join our National Sales Team as a Clinical Sales Specialist for VIC & TAS. In this position, you will be primarily responsible for achieving annual equipment and reagent sales targets and managing customer relationships within the Hospital and Private Pathology sector.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Achieving sales revenue and contribution margin targets.
  • Establishing and growing bioMérieux's share of customer spend.
  • Account management and leading the development of bioMérieux's relationship with each customer.
  • Coordination of all tenders within designated territory.


Typical Duties:
  1. Follow the sales process model to identify and manage each opportunity to final close.
  2. Accurately forecasting and closing new business.
  3. Prepare quotations, proposals, negotiate and maintain all customer pricing details.
  4. Identify key opinion leaders and key decision makers within the designated territory.
  5. Identifying and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders and key decision makers in our field.
  6. Participating in company, team meetings, user group meetings, workshops and industry seminars as required.
  7. Call on customers on a regular and timely basis in a designated territory (80/20 rule applies).
  8. Liaise with Application Specialists, Field Service Engineers and Marketing Managers as required.
  9. Attend trade meetings and conferences as required.
  10. Complete necessary internal reports.
  11. Maintain and update customer information within CRM system.
  12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.


Requirements:

To be successful in this position you will have demonstrated experience in developing and delivering business opportunities, be University educated, have at least 3 years' experience working in a laboratory environment, an unrestricted driver license, excellent selling skills, be competitive and driven to succeed, have experience working within the clinical hospital environment including the IVD/healthcare sector, strong business acumen and the ability to negotiate at all levels in an organisation as well as the ability to work independently.
