The Personnel Security Specialist will be responsible for processing background checks, assessing risk, and making recommendations to the Security Manager regarding the suitability of candidates to work at Harrison McMillan and ongoing suitability of existing personnel.

About the Person

  • High accuracy on data entry and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive with good organisational skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain identification card.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake identity verification.
  • Work as the administrator for background checks.
  • Provide guidance and direction to stakeholders across functions relating to personnel security.
  • Undertake verification of applicants' need for identification card.
  • Confirm Identity of applicants as per standards.
  • Undertake workforce screening.
  • Handle personnel information in accordance with laws and regulations.
  • Undertake ongoing suitability and social media checks.
  • Liaise with managers and supervisors in relation to ongoing suitability of personnel.
  • Liaise with security team on security incidents.
  • Undertake security risk assessments.
