Transforming your career is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drive meaningful change in First Nations workforce and capability. We're looking for an experienced and passionate leader who can empower people to develop their careers, strengthen their skills, and lead with confidence.

You'll be positioned in the People & Culture team, reporting to the Deputy Chief People Officer and embedded within the First Nations Strategy and Outcomes team. You'll work closely with leaders and specialists across the organisation to co-design and deliver workforce and capability initiatives that bring our vision to life.

  • Co-design the development and delivery of First Nations workforce strategies focusing on cultural capability, retention, and cultural safety.
  • Shape and monitor First Nations workforce metrics to inform systemic change.
  • Provide expert advice and strategic leadership to embed cultural safety into policies and practices.
  • Deliver impactful cultural capability initiatives for leaders, managers, and frontline staff.
  • Establish tools and benchmarks to assess and monitor cultural capability.
  • Strengthen peer-led and practical cultural learning opportunities.
  • Design strategies to enhance retention, progression, and visibility of First Nations employees.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity, with cultural knowledge and relationship-building skills to strengthen trust and belonging.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in complex organisations and influencing across teams.
  • Confidence in group facilitation, training delivery, and capability building.

With a hybrid model offering flexibility and planned travel to sites across NSW and the ACT, you'll be at the heart of cultural change.
