About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workplace Relations/ Employment Lawyer at Associate/Senior Associate level to join a reputable law firm in their Melbourne Office.

The role offers a diverse and stimulating work environment, direct client contact, and a collaborative team.

You will play a key part in their Workplace Relations practice and will have the opportunity to partner closely with clients from various industries on a range of employment, education, and safety matters.

This is a generalist workplace relations team providing a stimulating variety of both contractual and litigation matters, including:

  1. Drafting Employment Agreements & Contracts
  2. Advising on Discrimination, Harassment, and Bullying Claims
  3. Providing Advice on Employee Entitlements
  4. Dispute Resolution as it Relates to Employment Matters
  5. Assisting with Strategic Advice around Workplace Relations Issues
  6. Advising on Post-Employment Restraints
  7. Bullying Claims, Harassment, and Discrimination Advice
  8. Presenting to Clients via Workshops on General OH&S Matters
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  1. At least 3 years+ experience in workplace relations/employment law;
  2. A background from a comparable employment law practice and/or mid to top-tier law firm;
  3. Strong drafting skills, ability to articulate advice, and be a willing mentor to less experienced practitioners;
  4. A well-developed commercial/strategic mindset;
  5. Maintain a high level of professional conduct and confidentiality at all times;
  6. A passion for advancing your career in employment law with a highly reputable practice.
