Senior Financial Operations Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Operations Manager to join our finance team on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day finance team operations, including financial reporting, financial compliance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), managing the environmental credit trading portfolio and facilitating landholder settlements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial information ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements
  • Provide meaningful analytical insights on monthly financial performance contributing to the monthly board report
  • Manage the monthly financial reporting close processes with the support of a Financial Accountant and an Assistant Accountant
  • Key involvement in annual financial budget and ongoing financial forecasting
  • Preparation of weekly cashflow forecast and covenant compliance projections
  • Assist with taxation and compliance lodgements for Australian entities
  • Key role in the financial audit process ensuring completion in line with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified with + 5 years' experience in financial reporting roles
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and possesses the ability to manage competing deliverables
  • A confident, enthusiastic, self-starter who can drive their career and professional development
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders
  • Ability to transfer financial awareness to operational data and processes
  • Demonstrated experience in transitioning skills across multiple industries or sub/sectors
  • Experience with the Australian Taxation System and lodgement requirements
  • Experience with financial audit processes
  • Exposure to delivering best practice month-end close and financial reporting
