Job Description: Senior Survey Base Engineer

This is a full-time permanent position based in our workshop located in Welshpool. As a Senior Survey Base Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing, interfacing, and testing the marine survey equipment for offshore projects. You will also coordinate and conduct workshop maintenance, repair, and calibration of survey equipment and provide survey systems technical support and advice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Equipment for Dispatch: Prepare outgoing equipment in accordance with QA procedures, complete with required test documentation and calibration certificates.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Coordinate and conduct workshop maintenance, repair, and calibration of survey equipment.
  • Support On-Location Work: Attend vessel mobilisations and demobilisations or ad hoc site/offshore deployments as required.
  • Inspect Incoming Equipment: Ensure incoming equipment is inspected, tested, and prepared for next deployment.
  • Optimize Performance: Repair and service MMA Subsea equipment to ensure optimum performance.
  • Safety Leadership: Act as visible safety leader in the workshop, warehouse, and laydown areas.
  • Hazardous Materials Handling: Ensure hazardous materials are handled with care and stored in accordance with legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Certificate or Degree: Electronics field engineering certificate or degree qualified, and/or prior training in a similar role.
  • Driver's Licence: C-class driver's licence.
  • Forklift Operation: Forklift licence.
  • First Aid Training: First aid course completion.
  • Portable Appliance Testing: Portable appliance testing certified.
Essential Skills:
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency around computer equipment both hardware and software.
  • Electrical Principles: Clear understanding of electronic/electrical circuitry and electronic/electrical principles.
  • Workshop/warehouse Experience: Workshop/warehouse experience.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is between $85,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including generous leave entitlements, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
