Senior Production Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead the safe and efficient extraction of gold at our underground operations.

This pivotal role will see the successful incumbent lead a team of junior mining engineers to develop and deliver safe, efficient production plans covering drilling, charging, and remote bogging activities.

The role includes:

  • Plan, supervise, and implement weekly drill and blast activities with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Schedule, own, plan, and manage the 3MS process using Deswik IS.
  • Ensure adherence to and continuous improvement of drill and blast standards to optimize recovery and minimize dilutions.
  • Promote a high-performance culture by actively coaching, engaging with, and providing feedback to production and graduate engineers.
  • Assist the mining manager/alternate with a range of operational and technical tasks, including fulfilling statutory responsibilities when required.
  • Support daily underground operations and contribute to achieving production targets through sound engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong level in mining software (Deswik IS, Deswik CAD, Deswik UDGM, VEntsim) and Microsoft tools to support production and reporting.
  • Tertiary qualification in engineering.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • People management skills.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a strategic approach to the continuous improvement of services to achieve the best outcomes for the organization.
  • Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class C Driver's License.
  • National Police Clearance – 12-month validity.
