Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Roofing Project Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for overseeing roofing projects from specification to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the preparation of CAD drawings
  • Prepare design tender documents
  • Review technical specifications for roofing remediation projects
  • Direct the collecting of field data required for the preparation of repair specifications, drawings and tendering
  • Review shop drawings
  • Assist with the compilation of both field and report data in order to prepare specification documents and drawings
  • Review drawings and specifications to verify that the scope of work is sufficient and to ensure that all required details, materials, methods, etc. are correctly specified
  • Contract administration
  • Prepare design briefs for client approval
  • Wind uplift calculations
  • Prepare condition reports
  • Coordinate and attend project meetings
  • Coordinate interdepartmental design requirements
  • Schedule mockups and field testing
  • Monitor client scope and document changes as needed


Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in an Engineering or Architectural Technology program (or another related field)
  • Minimum 4 years' roofing working experience
  • Experience with specifying roofing systems
  • Experience carrying out project management functions with a focus on roofing remediation projects
  • Able to read Architectural Blueprints
  • General construction knowledge
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Good oral and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Self-motivating and multi-tasking ability
  • Able to work individually and in a team setting
