Job Title: Electorate Officer

The Australian Government is seeking a highly organized and experienced Electorate Officer to join the Senator Jacqui Lambie's team in Burnie, Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to constituents and other visitors to the Electorate Office.
  • Manage and coordinate constituent enquiries, including written correspondence, telephone, and email.
  • Work closely with the Senator and Office Manager to manage appointments and diary.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, data entry, and database management.
  • Build strong relationships with community organizations and help plan and manage events.

Requirements:

  • High level of oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Professional integrity and ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Highly motivated and able to work proactively, both independently and in a small team.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, plan, organize, and prioritize work under pressure.

Employment Conditions:

  • A commencing salary between $69,046 and $73,098 will be negotiated depending on experience and relevant skills.
  • An additional option allowance may be considered in recognition of, and as compensation for, reasonable additional hours of work.
  • Relocation assistance, studies assistance, and paid study leave may also be available (subject to eligibility requirements).
  • An employer superannuation contribution of 15.4% will be payable.
