As a Quantitative Analyst at Macquarie, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for researching and developing systematic investment strategies. Your primary focus will be on generating new research ideas, testing, and implementing them using Python, as well as monitoring the performance of existing systematic models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement systematic investment strategies using Python and other programming languages.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing systematic models.
- Maintain and enhance existing quantitative systems and processes.
- Prepare responses to client and consultant requests.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2-5+ years' experience in a similar role, with a strong academic background in maths, actuarial, engineering, science, IT, or finance.
- High-level programming skills in Python, SQL, Unix, MATLAB, R, or similar.
- A passion for applying your skills to financial markets and a great interest in dealing with large datasets and finding exploitable patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and independent approach to your work.
