As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a key role in driving procurement strategies for major infrastructure projects. With high-level exposure and career progression opportunities, this position offers the chance to shape large-scale projects.
The role is based in Melbourne or Brisbane and reports directly to the Director of Sourcing and Contracting.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that balance cost, risk, compliance, and value-for-money principles.
- Manage end-to-end procurement for complex, high-value packages including long-lead and international supply.
- Negotiate and finalize subcontracts, ensuring seamless contract execution and handover.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially savvy procurement professional with:
- 7+ years' experience in capital project procurement within the energy, infrastructure, or resources sector (Tier 1 experience highly regarded).
- Proven success supporting bids and tenders and delivering procurement strategies in complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian construction market and contract frameworks, with experience managing international supply.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and influencing skills.
- Proactive, resourceful, and confident in leading discussions with senior stakeholders and suppliers.
This role offers the chance to work on integrated trans-Tasman teams, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will be able to deliver results-oriented solutions, leveraging their expertise in procurement and contracting.
