Rural Generalist Speech Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team at SA Health, Yorke and Northern Local Health Network (YNLHN). As a rural generalist, you will provide clinical services to adults and children with swallowing and communication difficulties in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and the community.
Our ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment. You will have a passion for delivering client-centred care, with a focus on developing your skills in speech, language, and fluency, as well as supporting clients to access Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing clinical services to adults and children with swallowing and communication difficulties
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify clients' needs
- Collaborating with families and carers to support clients' communication goals
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a recognised qualification in Speech Pathology and be eligible for practicing membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to participate in continuing education opportunities.
Salary and BenefitsThis is a multi-classed position, with the opportunity to be appointed at either AHP1 or AHP2 classification. The estimated annual salary for this role is between $74,459 and $91,494, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including up to $13,000 reimbursement for relocation costs, 3 months free accommodation, and subsidised rental accommodation for short-term contracts.
