Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Track Work Supervisor to join our team at Racing Australia Limited. As a key member of our track operations team, you will be responsible for supervising track work activities, enforcing rules and regulations, and ensuring the safety of all participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enforce rules and regulations at track work and trials, taking appropriate action when necessary
  • Collect and analyze data related to track use by trainers
  • Process track fees and ensure accurate accounting
  • Instruct trainers and jockeys on track rules and regulations
  • Conduct regular track inspections to ensure safety and compliance
  • Brief new track riders on track safety and rules
  • Report any safety issues or breaches of rules to the relevant authorities
  • Coordinate track work activities, including fast work and jump outs
  • Assist with track maintenance and repairs
  • Provide first aid assistance as needed
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Track Manager or RWWA Steward

Requirements:

  • Experience in horse handling and track operations
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations governing track work and racing
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer literacy skills
  • Current 'C' class driver's license
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Completion of Year 10
