Job Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Underwriter to drive profitable growth in our cyber insurance business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain profitability through effective risk selection and account management by continuously monitoring and analyzing data.
  • Negotiate pricing, coverages and terms with insurance brokers to expand revenue streams.
  • Ensure the servicing of renewal business while delivering exceptional customer service to foster long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to support strategic partnerships with brokers and enhance mutual benefits.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging threats in cyber risks by engaging in continuous learning and research.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance technology and deliverables.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on coverage questions to ensure accurate and timely responses.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of underwriting experience in Cyber underwriting is necessary.
  • Technical expertise in Commercial Insurance is essential for success.
  • The ability to build a profitable book of cyber business is crucial.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills, including agency and broker management, are vital.
  • Proven negotiation and relationship-building abilities are highly valued.
  • Service orientation and teamwork are key components of this role.
