Director of Sensitive Physical Examinations Program

The Department of Medical Education is seeking a Director to lead the Sensitive Physical Examinations Program, a groundbreaking initiative that shapes clinical skills in future doctors.

  • Develop and implement program strategies, oversee academic coordination, and manage the team responsible for delivering this important educational program.
  • Recruit, train, and support Clinical Teaching Associates to ensure a sustainable educator pool.
  • Innovate curriculum development and review teaching materials aligned with advances in medical knowledge and educational practice.
  • Evaluate quality assurance methods and implement scholarly approaches to continuous improvement.
  • Foster partnerships with other health professional education programs to promote and expand SPEP.
  • Conduct research projects to advance sensitive physical examination education.
  • Teach and mentor Clinical Teaching Associates and students.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners or equivalent qualifications.
  • Expertise in sexual and reproductive health for all genders.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Dedication to excellence in teaching medical or health professional students.
