Technical Rendering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Rendering Specialist to join our engineering team at Sledgehammer Games in Melbourne.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing, modifying, optimizing, and debugging rendering engine systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and optimize rendering engine systems to meet the needs of our AAA games.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, design, and art teams to communicate features and development progress.
  • Participate in performance and code review processes to ensure high-quality code.
  • Contribute to the design and roadmap of industry-leading AAA graphics engine technology.
Requirements:
  • Experience developing and optimizing graphics systems, preferably with C/C++ programming background.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture, GPUs, multithreading, and memory systems.
  • Development experience with current-generation platforms (console, PC, and/or mobile).
  • Familiarity with modern graphics APIs (PS4/PS5, D3D12, Vulkan, etc.).
  • Solid debugging and profiling skills on both CPU and GPU.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with GPU Compute.
  • Familiarity with physically based rendering/lighting and/or raytracing.
  • Background in collaborating and iterating with artists on graphics features.
