Occupational Therapist

This is a rewarding role for an Occupational Therapist to assist clients in meeting their goals by planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive range of Occupational Therapy services.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, implement, and evaluate Occupational Therapy services to meet the needs of the local community.
- Utilize Primary Health Care principles to ensure services meet changing community needs.
- Coordinate the updating and development of evidence-based resources.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Occupational Therapy programs across various settings.
- Undertake clinical prioritization and triaging of referrals, managing them in line with organizational priorities.
- Support less experienced clinicians and allied health assistants.
- Undertake clinical assessments and implement recommendations to keep clients in their homes, assist in hospital discharge, or meet client goals.
- Hold a recognized qualification within the Occupational Therapy profession.
- Be eligible for full membership of the South Australian Board of Occupational Therapists.
- Meet the requirements to maintain current registration for self-regulated professions.
- Participate in the professional associations' accredited continuous professional development program.
- Be skilled in supporting clients, carers, and families across the patient journey.
- Provide effective assessment and triage, timely referrals, accurate information, coordinated care, and prompt follow-up.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and work well within a multidisciplinary team environment.
