The Glass Wash and Media Preparation role involves providing technical support to research staff by preparing media and solutions necessary for experimental work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning laboratory lab items in laboratory glasswashers and hand washing where required.
  • Preparing media and solution (broth, agars, buffers, etc.) by heating, mixing and pHing solutions.
  • Sterilisation by autoclaving all building needs including solutions, glassware, plasticware, and pipette tips, etc.

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
  • Experience and sound knowledge of media preparation procedures.
  • The ability to work as a member of a team and autonomously.
