Gas Transmission Pipeline Operator Role

The role involves operating and maintaining state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring the safe and reliable transmission of gas to communities across Australia.

This is a critical position in our Gas Transmission and Networks maintenance team, requiring an experienced individual to work on high-pressure coal seam gas compression and processing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain gas pipelines, easements, and associated equipment.
  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with Asset Management and Engineering teams to ensure seamless operation.
  • Perform various pipeline duties, including mechanical work, documentation, and records management.
  • Establish and maintain a Safe Worksite environment, adhering to all OHS&E requirements.
  • Respond promptly to gas-related incidents and emergencies.
  • Undertake intrastate travel and participate in rotating on-call rosters.
About You:
  • A trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter with experience working in Operations and Maintenance teams within the gas transmission or gas processing industry.
  • High-pressure gas and gas processing experience, reciprocating/screw compressor operation, and maintenance skills are essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), are required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office suite, are necessary for this role.
  • As a team player, you must be safety-focused and possess a can-do attitude.
