Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Allied Health Assistant to join our healthcare team in the Women's and Children's Division.

This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to daily operations and deliver high-quality patient care.

About the Role:

  • Provide comprehensive education to patients/groups of patients on defined topics as directed by Allied Health Professionals.
  • Work closely with the Social Worker to address barriers to outpatient appointments and treatment plans.
  • Maintain therapy-related databases and patient documentation accurately under the direction of supervising Allied Health Professionals.
  • Contribute to an integrated team approach, developing a culture responsive to consumer needs.
  • Offer practical assistance to patients and families where appropriate, including access to transport, accommodation, toiletries, clothing, etc.

About You:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and under remote supervision from Allied Health Professionals.
  • Sound time management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a hospital or other healthcare setting.
