We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Swim Coach to join our team.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality swim coaching sessions tailored to different age groups and abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for swimmers and their families.
- Build strong relationships with club members and help grow participation.
- Support the development and progression of swimmers in line with club goals.
About the Role:
- As our Head Coach, you will be at the heart of our club, responsible for leading and mentoring a dedicated team of coaches across all levels.
- You will also be responsible for building our culture, keeping our positive, family-focused atmosphere strong, and supporting our swimmers, parents, coaches, and volunteers.
- Additionally, you will work directly with our National Squads, running programs that meet state and national standards.
- You will create and put into action SMART training plans that help swimmers develop over the long term, from beginners to elite athletes.
- And you will connect with the sport, staying in touch with key partners and being a visible, friendly, and motivating presence at the pool and within our community.
About You:
- Are you a motivated and community-minded coach with a passion for swimming and youth development?
- Do you bring energy, professionalism, and a collaborative mindset to your work, and thrive in a team environment?
- Do you have a current Swimming Australia Coach Accreditation, at least five years of coaching experience, and a strong understanding of athlete development and talent pathways?
- Do you have experience leading a coaching team and building positive culture, excellent communication and leadership skills, a passion for coaching, wellbeing, and community sport, and a current Working with Children Check, CPR, and First Aid?
