About the Role

As a Production Coordinator at Industrial Light & Magic, you will play a crucial role in the success of our film productions. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and schedule tasks, ensuring that our artists and teams meet their deadlines and deliver high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with discipline supervisors and leads to crew, cast, and schedule tasks, considering the overall show schedule, client reviews, bids, and other discipline needs.
  • Establish a process for communicating discipline targets, assignments, and priorities to your artist crew and the overall show crew.
  • Schedule, track, and manage assigned work within the ILM Internal Tracking Tool.
  • Ensure work is on schedule for each department and meets internal and client deadlines, checking in with artists regularly regarding workload, targets, and needs.
  • Set up turnovers with your department crew, communicating turnover information to all assigned artists.
  • Track client needs, reviews, and deliveries to ensure your department hits its targets.
  • Serve as a key communication liaison between all parties relevant to your work, providing updates, priorities, reschedules, and status of all shots at any given moment.
  • Anticipate and communicate issues to leadership teams to reach solutions in a timely manner.
  • Supervise, delegate to, and train assigned Production Assistants.
  • Act as the primary point person for organizing dailies/shot reviews throughout the day on behalf of your department Supe or Lead, taking notes regarding feedback and decisions made and entering required information into the Internal Tracking System.
  • Prioritize and escalate technical support issues.
  • Perform special projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail while working under pressure.
  • Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner while meeting deadlines.
  • Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to all situations.
  • Care about being part of a collaborative and respectful team dynamic and lead by example in all relationships with clients, supervisors, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Macs/PCs, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of UNIX and familiarity with Google Suite is helpful.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Film, Art, or Communications or equivalent experience in the industry.
