About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a medical field where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality services to customers. As a Medical Field Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment and providing technical assistance to ensure that our customers receive the best possible care.

As a member of our team, you will be required to perform preventative maintenance, repairs, warranty work, field modifications, installations, commissioning, bench repair, and telephone technical support. You will also be responsible for assessing product performance, faults, and making recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance on designated equipment in a professional and customer-focused manner.
  2. Ensure all repairs are attended to satisfactorily within the required timeframe.
  3. Provide technical assistance, including PC and/or systems-based products, via telephone or at customer sites.
  4. Prepare quotations for equipment repair and evaluation for warranty repair.
  5. Assess and report on product performance, faults, and make recommendations for improvement.
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  7. Perform test equipment calibration and maintain all required documentation.
  8. Clean and functionally check all demo products before sending them to customer sites for evaluation.
  9. Ensure workshop tools and test equipment are in good order and within calibration.
Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in Electronics/Biomedical Engineering/Electronics or related fields (Recent Graduates encouraged to apply).
  • Hold QLD REL (restricted electrical licence) or eligible to get one.
  • Solid technical experience in an electro-mechanical and/or electrical field.
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry would be ideal, but not necessary.
  • Understanding of servicing to Australia Standard AS3551.
  • Valid and unrestricted Driver's license with access to a vehicle.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
