Job Title: Financial Solutions Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Solutions Specialist to join our team at Thomson Geer. As a key member of our national team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to our clients in the area of financial solutions and disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting day-to-day matters, including contentious and defended cases, with support from senior lawyers
• Providing support to the broader team in response to queries and advice
• Assisting with the resolution of disputes
• Actively contributing to the team's ongoing development, training, and skills
• Assisting in developing and enhancing existing training materials on relevant topics and processes
• Working with senior lawyers and managers to facilitate high-quality services, consistent with internal policies and processes
• Communicating with key institutional clients and maintaining strong client relationships
• Attending Court, mediations, settlement conferences, and briefing counsel
• Drafting and reviewing documents, including general correspondence, court pleadings, and deeds

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of post-admission experience (PAE)
• Strong service focus
• Excellent understanding of the regulatory and compliance landscape
• Self-disciplined and accountable with a great work ethic
• Enjoy managing a variety of work and demonstrating the desire to learn and grow
• Strong commercial understanding and solutions focus
• Analytical ability
• Able to work collaboratively and autonomously, where required
• An ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle pressure
• A high level of attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A positive and passionate attitude
