Nursing Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Nursing Assistant. In this permanent part-time role, you will have the opportunity to create a positive donor experience and contribute to the safe collection of blood and biological products.

This role offers 60 hours per fortnight with varied shifts on a rotating roster from Monday to Sunday. As a Nursing Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assess potential donors' eligibility and suitability for donation, ensuring they receive a high-quality donor experience.

No prior experience in blood collection is required; we provide comprehensive training that combines on-the-job practice with online learning. You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests to ensure donors' safety and suitability.
  • Greeting and interviewing potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability for donation.
  • Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for donors throughout their visit.
  • Maintaining accurate records of donations and conducting regular checks to ensure compliance with regulations.
