Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team as a Business Advisory Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a sophisticated client base and deliver a range of taxation, financial and business advisory services.

About the Role

This role will involve working within a dynamic team and having direct exposure to clients. You will be a collaborative team player and have access to mentoring and a breadth of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver business advisory services to clients including taxation, financial and business advice
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and develop solutions to meet their objectives
  • Prepare GST, FBT and payroll tax returns for clients
  • Prepare financial statements, tax reconciliations, income tax returns and tax effect accounting for companies, trusts and tax consolidated groups
  • Use common client accounting software packages (i.e. MYOB and Xero) and larger enterprise products
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Commerce or Accounting
  • Experience in business advisory services, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage competing priorities
