Purpose of Position:

This role involves leading a small team and establishing a Training and Competency management system for Autonomous Operations Team members.

The appointed individual will deliver high-quality training to all roles involved in the Autonomous Road Trains project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and updating training, licenses, and competencies required for employees.
  • Creating a Training Needs Analysis for all roles including key areas of Autonomy System Operation, safety procedures, protocols, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Developing user manuals, guides, and online documentation.
  • Conducting Training Needs analysis of site-based roles and tasks.
  • Delivering training sessions or webinars for internal and customer personnel.
  • Verifying competency for Autonomous Road Train tasks.
  • Facilitating storage and control of all training documentation for reporting and auditing compliance.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116/TAE40122 minimum or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a training/assessor role in a mining, oil and gas, industrial environment.
  • Experience developing a comprehensive training curriculum.
  • Advanced written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Document control experience.
  • Current C class drivers' licence.
  • Able to work in Australia and provide evidence.
  • Current National Police Clearance, issued within the last twelve months, or able to obtain.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of mining regulations and core safety procedures.
  • Mining environment exposure with automation experience.
  • Experience with change management.
  • Working with new technologies through development into deployment.

Travel:

  • This Perth-based role will require regular travel to Onslow, particularly as the project moves into deployment and then operations.
