We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per annum.
Job DescriptionThis role involves providing support to participants with flexible and individualised care, facilitating their involvement in daily activities and living skills programs across all services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist participants with daily tasks and home-based activities.
- Provide short-term interventions, psycho-education, and mentoring.
- Facilitate daily personal hygiene and care tasks.
- Coordinate and facilitate community access for participants.
- Offer emotional support and encouragement.
- Enhance participant communication and choice-making processes.
- Implement Behaviour Management Strategies as required.
- Conduct goal planning and tracking.
- Foster skill development, employment, and learning opportunities for participants.
- Transport participants to medical appointments and social activities as needed.
- Maintain the rights, independence, and dignity of all participants, ensuring confidentiality and recognising their choices at all times.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care is essential.
- A NDIS Worker Screening Check is mandatory.
- 100 points of identification (Citizenship/Passport/Driver License/Visa & Granted Form, Medicare Card or government-issued document).
- Police Clearance is necessary.
- First Aid + CPR certification is required.
- Manual Handling training is essential.
- Medication certificate is necessary.
- Car Registration and Comprehensive Car Insurance are required.
- Covid-19 Vaccinations (3 doses) are mandatory.
- FREE Online Training modules are compulsory.
- NDIS Training modules, including New Worker Induction, Worker Orientation, Supporting Effective Communication, and Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals.
- GAVAL Covid-19 Infection Control Training and Personal Protective Equipment Training are provided FREE.
