Key Responsibilities:

* Install and fix plasterboard partitions, suspended ceilings, fire rating systems, acoustic ceiling panels, and composite wall linings in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
* Measure, cut, and shape materials to the required specifications.
* Prepare surfaces for installation and ensure all materials are securely fixed.
* Apply jointing compounds and tape to seams and joints for a seamless finish.
* Ensure all installations comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and fire rating standards.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on-site to ensure project timelines are met.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in regulations.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Wall and Ceiling Fixer, with expertise in installing plasterboard partitions, suspended ceilings, fire rating systems, acoustic panels, and composite wall linings.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
* Knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques used in wall and ceiling fixing.
* Strong understanding of safety procedures, building codes, and fire rating requirements.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour.
* Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in wall and ceiling fixing.
* Registration or licensing may be required, depending on the specific job and location.
* Valid Australian driver's license and reliable transportation.
