Transport Coordinator

The role of Transport Coordinator involves supporting the transport needs of various partners across multiple brands and commodities. This opportunity is ideal for an individual looking to make a meaningful contribution to the success of a leading retail group.

This position plays a key role in ensuring safe, cost-effective transport movements from suppliers into warehouses by leveraging a network of carriers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing daily transport planning activities using a Transport Management System (TMS)
  • Ensuring timely delivery targets are achieved consistently
  • Resolving manual exceptions and issues efficiently
  • Investigating carrier and vendor transport claims thoroughly
  • Escalating unresolved issues to senior management
  • Maintaining stakeholder expectations for transport movements effectively
  • Communicating regularly with stakeholders including replenishment, warehouses, vendors, and transport carriers as required
  • Generating reports using TMS and other reporting systems
  • Ensuring compliance with Chain of Responsibility (COR) at all times
  • Coodinating transport planning for multiple lanes simultaneously

Key Requirements:
