Role Overview:
The University of Western Australia is seeking an experienced Education and Outreach Coordinator to join the Student Equity team.
About the Role
This role coordinates programs for the Student Equity team, focusing on pre-access, access, and participation life stages. You will work on the Indigenous, Regional and Low SES Attainment Fund (IRLSAF) programs, including Aspire UWA, Fairway UWA, and the Student Equity Ambassador Program.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement program objectives by providing support in delivering school-based workshops and information sessions, community-based activities, and on-campus events for equity outreach programs.
- Run overnight camps for students and travel to regional centres as needed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency.
- Substantial experience in project/event support and administration.
- Highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of the Western Australian school system, university entry pathways, and commitment to equity and diversity.
Working Conditions
This role requires a current C Class Drivers Licence, flexibility, and willingness to participate in residential camps and travel to regional and remote centres.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary package and a dynamic work environment.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
