Job Summary

This role leads tyre operations for heavy earthmoving fleets at a mining site. The key responsibilities include overseeing maintenance, inspections, repairs and replacements to minimize downtime.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all tyre maintenance for large mining equipment, ensuring safety and compliance
  • Coordinate inspections, repairs, and replacements to minimise downtime
  • Manage inventory, procurement and budgets for tyre operations
  • Lead and mentor a team of tyre technicians
  • Maintain detailed records and reporting on tyre performance and costs
  • Implement continuous improvements and adopt new technologies
  • Ensure full compliance with site safety and environmental requirements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role within mining or heavy earthmoving
  • In-depth knowledge of tyre maintenance, compliance and reporting for mining equipment
  • Relevant certifications in tyre maintenance or related field
  • Experience with tyre management software and maintenance scheduling
  • Strong leadership, mentoring and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and cost-efficiency
  • Budget management and inventory control experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint)
  • QLD C Class Driver's Licence
