General Medicine Unaccredited Trainee

This role presents a valuable opportunity for individuals seeking general medical experience in preparation for BPT or GP training.

The General Medicine Unaccredited Trainee will be responsible for providing effective clinical management of patients, under appropriate supervision. This includes supervised general medical management of patients admitted to specialist departments.

  • Conduct patient assessments, make treatment decisions, perform procedures, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Develop expertise in medical practice within a complex clinical environment.

To excel in this position, you will require:

  • MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the relevant medical authority.
  • Completion of at least two (2) years postgraduate years of medical practice with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • High level communication skills and organisational abilities.

You will be working in a fast-paced hospital environment, so you must be able to:

  • Manage competing priorities and make informed decisions.
  • Work independently and adapt your behaviour accordingly.
