Job Summary
We are seeking experienced education and care professionals to join our team at Cumberland City Council. As an Education and Care Professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our 13 Education and Care Centres. This is a casual position, with rostered shifts Monday to Friday, between 6:00am to 6:00pm, and may include split shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education to children from birth to thirteen years of age
- Develop and implement engaging and inclusive programs that promote children's learning and development
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive environment
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote child safety and well-being
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in education and care
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education and care, such as a Certificate III or degree in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Experience working in an education and care environment, preferably in a local government setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to child safety and well-being
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) number
