Engine Technician Role Overview

\

We are seeking a skilled Engine Technician to complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under supervision.

\

This role requires the ability to apply documented procedures and policies to complete basic repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools.

\

The successful candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and be able to disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components.

\

In addition, they will be responsible for assisting with completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products following guidelines, using required tools within standard repair time to ensure a quality repair.\
  • Disassemble and assemble engines or power generators following guidelines, using required tools to ensure a clean and organized environment.\
  • Inspect and replace parts and components following re-use guidelines to minimize customers' cost of ownership.\
  • Perform progressive damage check following guidelines to restore to pre-failure condition.\
  • Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.\
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues/incidents to their supervisor.\
  • Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.\
  • Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments.\
  • Actively learn through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder.\
  • Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.\
  • Champion and model proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.\
