About the role

  • The purpose of this position is to deliver high-quality telecommunications services to both internal and external clients.
  • Initiate contact with staff as needed for emergency codes, on-call arrangements and security assistance.
  • Operate switchboard systems such as Alcatel OmniVista, DECT phones, emergency phones.

About you

  • Manage all telecommunications procedures including emergency codes and maintain thorough knowledge of these procedures.
  • Monitor communications equipment including Outlook, Fire Alarm mimic panel, Duress Alarm monitor and respond to activated alarms according to procedure.
  • Provide initial fault resolution for telephones and pagers including issuing temporary hardware to replace faulty units and providing training if required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
  • Ability to effectively use or quickly acquire ability to use Alcatel 4059, HBICS, EDIS, Amcom Messenger and Omnivista.
