Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Perth. As an integral part of our operations, you will play a key role in ensuring that our projects adhere to the highest environmental standards.

The primary focus of this position will be to provide expert advice on environmental matters to engineers, contractors, and client representatives. This will involve facilitating collaborative performance and reporting frameworks, driving implementation of project CEMP and EMS, defining and mitigating environmental risks, and advising on sub-contractor management.

You will also be responsible for executing environmental monitoring programs, including dust, noise, vibration, vegetation monitoring, and inspections and audits. Additionally, you will deliver environmental training for our teams and contractors and prepare compliance reporting, including NGERS, waste, monitoring, and Part V licence reports.

To succeed in this role, you will require an understanding of Commonwealth environmental approvals framework and familiarity with State or Territory requirements (West is preferred). You should have experience in environmental compliance and a similar role within the natural resources industry or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Understanding of Commonwealth environmental approvals framework
  • Familiarity with State or Territory requirements (West is preferred)
  • Experience in environmental compliance
  • Similar role within the natural resources industry or equivalent
  • Familiarity with GIS software, data capture, and interpretation
  • Demonstrated understanding of key environmental and social risks associated with natural resources projects
  • Strong communication, stakeholder relationship, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering, or related fields
  • Unrestricted driver's license and working rights for Australia
