As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of Truyu by designing, developing, and maintaining a scalable digital protection product that our customers love.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing a mobile application using react-native and a server-side built with Typescript on Node.js
  • Partnering with the product team to ship high-quality features that solve real user problems
  • Participating in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions
  • Contributing to and upholding engineering best practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, and observability
  • Leading by example in identifying and resolving technical debt, improving performance, and increasing system reliability
  • Mentoring and supporting junior and mid-level engineers
  • Co-owning the product with a technology lens

We are looking for experienced software engineers who have:

  • A willingness to contribute across all areas of the tech stack, while specialising in and able to go deep in at least one of those areas
  • 5+ years of programming and software development experience
  • Experience and comfort in react-native, Typescript, and Node
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Comfortable working in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and using tools like Docker, GitHub Actions, or similar for CI/CD
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership beyond functional requirements— ensuring the right outcomes for the customer are achieved
